The Detained AAP leader also recalled the times when Indian independence fighters were disturbed by the British, drawing parallels between his current predicament and India’s independence battle, adding that they (the freedom fighters) persisted despite hardships.
On February 26, following over eight hours of questioning in the Delhi liquor policy case, Manish Sisodia was taken into custody by the CBI. Manish Sisodia was taken into custody for violating sections 120 b (criminal conspiracy), 477 A (intent to defraud), and 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Manish Sisodia was not cooperating with the probe, according to the CBI, and his responses were not adequate. Sources claim that a few problematic clauses that weren’t in the original draught of the Delhi Liquor Policy have been added. When the CBI questioned Sisodia about it, he was unable to explain how certain clauses ended up in the final draught.
Sisodia was given five days of custody by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court the next day, which was later increased by an additional two days. Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, who were both accused of corruption, submitted their resignations to Delhi chief executive Arvind Kejriwal on March 1.
Although the Supreme Court declined to step in, he also petitioned a Delhi court for standard bail. “At the beginning, we don’t want to get involved in such a situation. You can present the High Court with all of your arguments “the supreme court had ruled.
A Delhi court prolonged the CBI’s custody of Sisodia on March 4 to March 6. He was placed in 14 days of judicial detention and will not be released from Tihar jail until March 20.
He was questioned for six hours by the ED, who is conducting a separate inquiry into the matter. Sisodia’s statement was recorded.Manish Sisodia criticises the BJP
